Meet Jen
“Trauma blocks love, connection, and creativity; and in turn, love has the power to transcend trauma, heal us, and reconnect us to our Self, our soul, our source, and to each other.”
-Frank Anderson, MD
Thank you for taking the time to invest in your mental health and well-being. I would be honored to be a resource in your healing journey.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience working with children, adolescents, and adults throughout the lifespan. I enjoy working with diverse populations and have had the privilege of working in various settings including in-home behavioral therapy, group homes, assisted living, intensive day treatment settings, and outpatient counseling.
The nature of my practice is client-centered and eclectic, meaning treatment for every individual is unique and fostered by the therapeutic relationship. I practice holding a safe space for you to feel supported in your healing journey, while empowering you to live your best life outside of our sessions. My hope is that through our sessions, you will build self awareness, self compassion, confidence, and learn healthy strategies to cope with the painful experiences that life brings.
Some of my specialties include Brainspotting and Emotionally Focused Therapy. I have a strong interest in continuing my education around other trauma-focused modalities, such as EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, and Internal Family Systems. I pull from modalities and theories such as Attachment Theory, Polyvagal Theory, mindfulness, as well as various somatic and cognitive approaches. I am especially interested and experienced in areas of PTSD, complex-PTSD, attachment issues, anxiety, depression, neurodivergence, and complicated grief.
Outside of being a therapist, I love dance, making art, hiking, reading, and spending time with my loved ones.
