Meet Abbey
“Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass.
It’s about learning to dance in the rain”
~ Vivian Greene~
Hello! My name is Abbey (she/her) and I am an LPC-IT with professional experience in working with athletes, children, teenagers, young adults, and adults from all different walks of life. I pride myself in offering a safe space for every individual and building trusting relationships to help people achieve whatever their mental well-being goals might be.
I understand the life challenges that people face, and my therapeutic approach is centered on an interpersonal empathy model and grasping the experience of each client in order to execute the most beneficial therapeutic skills, including, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and person-centered therapy. My experience has offered me the privilege of working with diverse populations including individuals and groups struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, identity, and addiction. My background in counseling education has
equipped me with a solid foundation allowing me to effectively support clients in their journey towards healing and personal growth.

I received a BS in Human Development and Family Studies with a double concentration in Intervention and Prevention and Early Childhood Education from Colorado State University where I was a 4-year Division 1 athlete. I went on to earn an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The University of Alabama where I worked in tandem with the UA Athletics Behavioral Medicine task force in treating collegiate athletes. My greatest passion is helping individuals with identity which comes from personal experience as an athlete.
Activities I enjoy in my free time include: listening to music, hiking, swimming, watching sports, attending concerts, and spending time with friends and family.
