“You don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.”
― Martin Luther King Jr.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I am passionate about supporting individuals as they navigate life’s challenges and transitions. I work with children ages 10+, young adults, adults, families, and athletes, and I am a proud ally of the LGBTQ+ community. My approach to therapy is person-centered, meaning I value the uniqueness of each client and tailor our work together based on their individual needs. I often incorporate evidence-based practices such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy.
I believe that when we are faced with adversity, we can uncover the immense potential that exists within us. Therapy can be a powerful space for self-discovery, healing, and growth—helping people become the best version of themselves by embracing their own strengths and qualities. I particularly enjoy supporting clients during times of transition, whether that’s adjusting to new life stages, managing stress and emotions, or striving for personal goals.
Outside of the therapy room, I stay active through golfing, curling, and exploring new places. I also enjoy reading, watching the latest movies and shows, and staying engaged with the world of sports.
I received my Bachelor’s degree in Sport Psychology from Concordia St. Paul University and my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Minnesota State University- Moorhead.
