Meet Margo
“There is no thing as a single-issue struggle because we do not live single-issue lives.”– Audre Lorde
“Owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing we’ll ever do.”– Brene Brown
Greetings! My name is Margo, I am a cisgender woman and my pronouns are she/her. Feeling stuck in life is frustrating, to say the least. I practice from a strengths based, trauma informed approach. My goal is to provide an inclusive and supportive environment to assist you in getting unstuck, strengthen your resilience, and flourish as the beautiful human you are. I also strive to provide space for choice, autonomy and growth in the healing process.
I am a licensed clinical social worker with over a decade of experience providing therapy in the Madison area. I received my Master of Social Work degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Many years ago I lost a friend to suicide which drove me to be the therapist I am today. I have experience working with adults across the lifespan. I have a passion for working with the following communities: LGBTQIA+ folx, police officers/first responders, veterans, sex worker allied, folks living with chronic illness/conditions as well as traumatic brain injury. I have specific therapeutic training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral therapy, mindfulness, suicide prevention related therapies, intimate partner violence, women’s issues, eating disorders treatment, and sleep related concerns. I also can offer readiness assessments and letters of support for individuals seeking access to gender affirming care.
When I am not working with clients I enjoy doing yoga, reading, gardening, baking, and spending time with family and friends. I am neurodivergent and a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community.
